What the research covers
Two of the early trials enrolled adults with type 2 diabetes. A 12-week phase 1b study at four US centres, randomised, double-blind and placebo-controlled with a dulaglutide comparator, examined safety, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics across five cohorts1. A phase 2 trial at 42 US centres followed, comparing retatrutide with placebo and dulaglutide in adults with HbA1c of 7.0 to 10.5%2.
