Where 20 mg sits in the range
The ten fills are not evenly spaced. They climb in 5 mg steps from 5 to 20 mg and in 10 mg steps from 20 to 60 mg, then jump to 80 and 100 mg, so 20 mg is the last size in the finest part of the range. Above it the steps widen, and two smaller vials can sometimes match a planned quantity more closely than one larger one.
What the research covers
Willard and colleagues found that at the GLP-1 receptor tirzepatide favoured cAMP production over β-arrestin recruitment, a form of biased agonism, and was weaker than native GLP-1 at causing the receptor to internalise1. One 20 mg vial keeps the whole quantity under one lot number. Two 10 mg vials can be reconstituted one at a time, leaving less in solution at 2 to 8 °C.
How many micromoles does the vial hold?
About 4.16 µmol: 20 mg divided by the certificate's theoretical mass of 4813.5 Da. In 2 mL that is roughly 2.08 mM, a little less once residual water is allowed for.
