Safety data sheet classification
PL-SDS-173 covers all ten fills and lists tirzepatide under two GHS classes: Carc. 2 (H351, suspected of causing cancer) and Repr. 2 (H361, suspected of damaging fertility or the unborn child). The sheet asks for the container to be kept closed, labelled and locked up, and for the vial to reach room temperature before opening so moisture does not condense on the powder.
What the research covers
In primary islets, Willard and colleagues found that β-arrestin1 restrained the insulin response to GLP-1 but not the response to GIP or to tirzepatide1. They took this to mean that tirzepatide’s bias toward cAMP over β-arrestin at the GLP-1 receptor adds to insulin secretion1. The evidence comes from isolated islets, not whole animals or people.
