Kisspeptin-10 (KP-10), the amidated decapeptide, as a 10 mg freeze-dried fill
Kisspeptin-10 is the C-terminal decapeptide of kisspeptin, the ligand of the receptor that sits upstream of GnRH release. This vial holds 10 mg of freeze-dried kisspeptin-10, twice the 5 mg main fill, made as a separate lot with its own certificate. Work on the peptide ranges from receptor pharmacology to short studies of LH and FSH secretion in healthy volunteers.

What the research covers
The IUPHAR review of the kisspeptin receptor lists kisspeptin-10 as the smallest active C-terminal fragment of kisspeptin-541. In a 2015 single-blinded, placebo-controlled study in healthy men, intravenous kisspeptin-10 and kisspeptin-54 produced similar gonadotrophin secretion at the amounts tested, and GnRH itself was more potent than either2. How each lot is tested
Every lot is tested in PrymaLab’s own laboratory in Ashland, Kentucky before release: RP-HPLC for purity, LC-MS for identity, Karl Fischer titration for water, LAL for endotoxin and USP <71> for sterility. Frequently asked questions
Is the 10 mg vial the same peptide as the 5 mg vial?
Yes: YNWNSFGLRF-NH2, theoretical mass 1302.4 Da. The 10 mg fill is made and tested as a separate lot, so it has its own lot number and certificate, shown in the panel on this page. In molar terms 10 mg is about 7.7 µmol.
Does the larger fill change how it should be stored?
Sealed, no: −20 °C, desiccated and dark, as for the 5 mg vial. Once reconstituted the safety data sheet gives 2 to 8 °C away from light. A 10 mg solution is likely to be kept longer, and kisspeptin-10 has two asparagines that can deamidate, so the larger fill suits work that will use it promptly.
