Preloaded Autoinjector | Chonluten | 3ml Pen | 20mg

Chonluten (Glu-Asp-Gly) at 0.67% w/v: 20 mg in a preloaded 3 mL pen

Chonluten, the Khavinson tripeptide Glu-Asp-Gly (EDG, CAS 75007-24-8), comes in this listing as a preloaded pen: a 3 mL cartridge holding 20 mg of Chonluten in sterile bacteriostatic water at 0.67% w/v. Its published research is short and mostly cellular, led by a 2022 study of inflammatory signalling in a human monocyte cell line. Because the sequence contains an Asp-Gly bond, how the peptide behaves in water matters more for a ready-made solution than for dry powder.

What is in the pen

The cartridge contains 3 mL of sterile solution with 20 mg of the same H-EDG-OH sold freeze-dried in the Chonluten 20 mg vial. At 0.67% w/v the concentration is about 6.7 mg/mL, and the whole pen holds roughly 63 µmol. The vehicle is bacteriostatic water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol. The safety data sheet classes the peptide as non-hazardous and gives benzyl alcohol hazard statements for oral and inhalation toxicity, eye irritation and skin sensitisation.

Keep the pen cold, at 2 to 8 °C in its carton and out of light, capped once opened, and never frozen; discard it if the solution freezes, discolours or turns cloudy. Unlike the vial, the pen holds the peptide in water from the day it is filled. Peptide pen vs vial compares the two formats in general.

What the research covers

The clearest Chonluten finding comes from a cell line. Avolio and colleagues, with Khavinson as a co-author, exposed human THP-1 monocytes to five Khavinson peptides; Chonluten reduced TNF release when the cells were challenged with bacterial lipopolysaccharide, and in macrophage-differentiated THP-1 cells all five peptides lowered LPS-driven TNF and IL-6 expression1. An earlier paper from St Petersburg reported that the peptide coded T-34, which the Chonluten guide equates with EDG, regulated genes for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory proteins in a gastric ulcer setting2.

For a solution format, the chemistry of the sequence is as relevant as the biology. In a model hexapeptide with the same Asp-Gly linkage, degradation in water depended on pH: very acidic conditions mostly broke the Asp-Gly bond, while at pH 4 to 5 the peptide also isomerised to its iso-aspartate form3. None of the references here measured these reactions for Chonluten, and no stability data for the pen have been published.

None of the cited work tested Chonluten in lung tissue, animals or people. The Chonluten guide covers the rest of the literature.

How each lot is tested

Every lot is tested in PrymaLab’s own laboratory in Ashland, Kentucky before release: RP-HPLC for purity, LC-MS for identity, Karl Fischer titration for water, LAL for endotoxin and USP <71> for sterility. Published certificates are listed on the results page and can be checked by number and key on the verify page. The certificate covers the peptide lot used to fill the pen, not the finished solution. These are in-house results from PrymaLab Analytical, not an independent test, and the lab is not accredited to ISO 17025. The third-party testing guarantee on this page still applies: if any independent laboratory finds the wrong compound, or less than the stated purity or amount, the order is refunded and the cost of the test is reimbursed.

Frequently asked questions

How does the pen compare with the Chonluten vial?

Both hold 20 mg of Glu-Asp-Gly. The vial is dry powder stored at −20 °C; the pen is a solution at about 6.7 mg/mL in bacteriostatic water, stored at 2 to 8 °C. A dry powder keeps the Asp-Gly bond out of water until the lab chooses to dissolve it.

What does the certificate cover?

The certificate is for the lot of Chonluten peptide used to fill the pen, tested in PrymaLab's own laboratory. It does not test the solution in the finished cartridge. Certificates are listed on the testing results page and can be confirmed on the verify page.

Is anything known about Chonluten's stability in solution?

Not directly. The cited chemistry papers studied model peptides and antibodies, not Chonluten, but they show that Asp-Gly bonds and N-terminal glutamate both change in water depending on pH. For the pen, follow the safety data sheet: cold, dark and never frozen.

Is the Chonluten pen for human use?

No. It is a research product for laboratory work only, with no approval for human or veterinary use, and nothing here should be read as guidance for using it in people or animals.

Peptide Bioregulators by Organ System: A Research Overview

Peptide bioregulators are a family of very short synthetic peptides, most of them two to four amino acids, each tied to a specific organ. They came out of one Soviet-era research program and they remain an odd corner of peptide science: a large catalog, a bold mechanistic claim, and a thin independent evidence base. This research-use-only overview maps which compound goes with which tissue and says plainly what the research does and does not support.
