Selank heptapeptide TKPRPGP, a full 11 mg freeze-dried in one vial
Selank, Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro, is the immune peptide tuftsin extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail. This vial is the larger fill: a full 11 mg of the freeze-dried heptapeptide, produced and tested as its own lot with its own certificate. Studies of Selank, mostly from Russian laboratories, have looked at gene expression in the rat brain and at behaviour in rodent stress models.

What the research covers
In the rat frontal cortex, Selank altered the expression of 45 of 84 neurotransmission genes within an hour, in a pattern that correlated with the changes produced by GABA1. A comparison of ten tuftsin-family peptides with Selank in rats and mice under conflict-induced stress reported effects that varied with each peptide’s structure and breakdown fragments2. How each lot is tested
Every lot is tested in PrymaLab’s own laboratory in Ashland, Kentucky before release: RP-HPLC for purity, LC-MS for identity, Karl Fischer titration for water, LAL for endotoxin and USP <71> for sterility. Frequently asked questions
Is the 11 mg vial the same peptide as the 5 mg vial?
Yes: H-TKPRPGP-OH, seven residues with free termini and a theoretical mass of 751.9 Da. The 11 mg fill holds about 14.6 µmol and is made and tested as a separate lot, with its certificate shown in the panel on this page.
Does Selank stick to vials and tubes?
It may. In a study of eight other peptides, recovery from glass and plastic varied with the surface and improved when carrier protein was present. Selank was not tested, but its lysine and arginine side chains make it basic, so confirm recovery in the containers your assay uses.
How is the larger vial stored?
The same way as the 5 mg fill: sealed at −20 °C, dry and dark, brought to room temperature before the vial is opened. A larger fill usually means solution kept longer at 2 to 8 °C, within a period your laboratory has validated.
