Epitalon (AEDG) in the smaller 10 mg fill, freeze-dried, made as its own lot
Epitalon is a four-residue synthetic peptide, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, that Khavinson’s St Petersburg group modelled on the composition of a bovine pineal extract. This vial holds 10 mg of it as white freeze-dried powder, a fifth of the 50 mg main fill, and it is made and tested as a separate lot. Most studies of the peptide deal with telomerase in cell culture and with ageing markers and tumours in rodents.

What the research covers
The result that made Epitalon known is a short 2003 report in which telomerase-negative human fetal fibroblasts, once the peptide was added, expressed the enzyme’s catalytic subunit, showed telomerase activity and had longer telomeres1. In a lifelong study of female SHR mice from the same circle of authors, mean lifespan did not change, while maximum lifespan rose by 12.3% and leukaemia was less common2. How each lot is tested
Every lot is tested in PrymaLab’s own laboratory in Ashland, Kentucky before release: RP-HPLC for purity, LC-MS for identity, Karl Fischer titration for water, LAL for endotoxin and USP <71> for sterility. The results for the lot now shipping are in the certificate panel on this page, and the certificate number, key and QR code can be checked on the verify page. These are in-house results from PrymaLab Analytical, not an independent test, and the lab is not accredited to ISO 17025. The third-party testing guarantee on this page still applies: if any independent laboratory finds the wrong compound, or less than the stated purity or amount, the order is refunded and the cost of the test is reimbursed.
Frequently asked questions
Is the 10 mg vial the same peptide as the 50 mg vial?
Yes. Both contain H-AEDG-OH with free termini and a theoretical mass of 390.4 Da, freeze-dried. The 10 mg fill has its own lot number and its own certificate, shown in the panel on this page.
How much peptide is 10 mg in molar terms?
About 25.6 µmol, calculated from the 390.4 Da theoretical mass. The certificate also reports residual water, so the peptide present is slightly below that figure.
How is the sealed vial kept?
At −20 °C, dry and dark. Allow it to warm to room temperature before the stopper is opened, so that condensation does not reach the powder.
